American Red Cross - Richland County Chapter  

Looking for Volunteers to work at Bloodmobile locations

All Red Cross Volunteers must have a background check.
Richland County has approximately 40 bloodmoibiles each month, and many
Bloodmobiles need one to three volunteers. Needs include:
Canteen persons:
Assists donors with a snack after donation.  Visits with donor and
encourages them to sign appointment book.  Observes for any reactions.
Registration persons: Greet and register donors as they come into the bloodmobile.

Community Action for Capable Youth  

Looking for volunteers for different projects such as:

Junior Golf Program this summer

5K Run in July

Golf Outing in July

Drug Free Month in October

Office help with mailings etc throughout the year

Looking for individuals with mortgage backgrounds (ie. realtors, staff from

local lending institutions, retirees with such experience to become volunteer financial advisors

Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council

Looking for volunteers to help the Girl Scout troop at the

Friendly House on Tuesday afternoon during the school year

MedCentral Hospice

MedCentral Hospice is looking for vounteers to serve terminally ill patients and their caregivers.

Volunteer training classes will held May 4, 5, and 6 from 10:00 am to 2:30 each day.  Lunch

will be provided.  The classes will be held at the MedCentral Hospice office, 1020 Cricket Lane

off South Trimble Rd. in Mansfield.

 

After the three day training program and a successful background check, volunteers can assist

hospice patients in their homes.  Volunteers typically help in a variety of ways such as offering

transportation, writing letters and relieving the caregiver for short periods of time.  Most

importantly, a volunteer can be a friendly visitor.  MedCentral also is looking for office clerical

volunteers and people to help with fundraising events throughout the year.

Monday thru Thursday  - 8:30AM to 1:30 PM  /  1:30 to 3:30 PM

TEEN Zone volunteers (7th and 8th graders meet on Fridays 2:30 - 6:00 PM)

Volunteer Guitar instructor for afterschool and summer programs.
