The United Way of Richland County will host their kick-off their Day of Caring on Friday, August 4 at 8am in the gazebo at Central Park. Currently, there are 29 companies providing over 240 volunteers to this day long event. These volunteers are scheduled to disperse to 17 project sites and provide support towards a total of 35 work projects. A light breakfast with will be served by Ed Pickens Café on Main.
The annual Day of Caring is a great opportunity for team-building and provides volunteers the chance to make a positive impact in their community. Volunteers spend the day in a United Way or non-profit agency completing projects and increasing their awareness of local human service agencies and discovering what people working together can accomplish for their community. The impact of these man hours is enormous for the agencies involved. The United Way is proud to coordinate this effort each and every year.
Sponsors for this event include: IBEW Local 688, Midwest Automotive Trucking, Milliron Industries, Milliron Auto Parts, Rinehart, Walters, Danner Insurance, OhioHealth, Richland Bank, and Therm-O-Disc. Additional sponsor is Huntington Bank. Special thanks go out to our In-Kind Sponsor: Ed Pickens Café on Main.
